Laying Up Supper
A great evening was had by 100 members and friends at the Marine on the 1st December as we celebrated a great season for which we have much to shout about. Terrific racing, reinvigorated training (thanks North Shore!) an up and coming youth section (us experienced sailors need to watch out...) and plenty of activity both on and off the shore. Membership booming and recognition through the RYA members survey that we are one of the best clubs in the south east
A big thank you to the outgong Commodore, Ian Smith and well done to all the race and prize winners, with special mention to Robin WIlkinson (Helmsman of the Year), Jenny Campbell (Helmslady of the year), Tanya Dady (Up and coming), Alfie Standen (Cadet), Pete and Di Taylor (Members of the year), Terry Powell (Commodores Award) and Hanah Richard (Alex Holliday award).
More to come in 2019 as we extend our sailing programme into more saturdays, better link training to beginner and intermediate days, integrate the social aspects better and in general try to keep improving the club.
