Laying Up Supper - 2024!

This year's Laying-up Supper and Prize-giving was held for the first time at Whitstable & Seasalter Golf Club, and the feedback from the 95 members and guests who attended in all their finery (see photos) was overwhelmingly positive. The food prepared and served by Mike, Sally and their team was truly delicious - a step up, or several steps up from past offerings at other venues I'd say - and after the prize giving and speeches that included tributes to our retiring Commodore, Ian Mills, many of us couldn't resist the urge to 'throw some shapes' - some shapes more strange than others! - to a medley of dance floor classics including the evergreen TBSC 'anthem' at these events, 'Oops Upside Your Head'! My only regret was that 'Our Di (Taylor)' had to leave early and wasn't there to 'get down'. Of course, that will mean absolutely nothing to anyone under 50!
